Job Description
Hilton is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, renowned for its commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences across its numerous hotels and resorts worldwide. With a rich heritage dating back over a century, Hilton has established itself as a trusted name in the hotel sector, known for its high standards of service, luxurious accommodations, and a welcoming atmosphere for travelers. The company operates a diverse portfolio of brands including upscale, full-service hotels, resorts, and extended-stay properties, catering to business and leisure travelers alike.
The role of a Housekeeper / Room Attendant at Hilton is pivotal in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of guest rooms and hotel areas to meet Hilton's brand standards. This position requires a dedicated individual who takes pride in creating a clean and comfortable environment for guests. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including cleaning assigned guest rooms, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, dusting furniture, vacuuming floors, replenishing towels and guest amenities, removing trash, and restocking the housekeeping cart daily. Beyond routine cleaning, employees are expected to respond promptly to guest requests, perform deep cleaning tasks when necessary, and ensure that rooms are properly prepared to welcome arriving guests.
This role demands physical stamina as it involves standing, bending, lifting, and pushing carts throughout the shift while maintaining efficiency to meet daily room quotas. Hilton values employees who are detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work as part of a team to uphold the brand’s reputation for cleanliness and comfort. The position typically offers hourly wages ranging from $16 to $35 per hour, with an average pay rate around $16 per hour, which can vary depending on the location, experience, and size of the hotel. Some locations may also provide opportunities for overtime pay, weekend pay, or holiday pay premiums, making this a rewarding role financially.
Full-time Housekeepers may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, dental and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off, employee hotel discounts, employee stock purchase plans, and tuition assistance programs. Additionally, certain Hilton locations, especially those in larger cities or unionized hotels, may offer higher wages, attendance bonuses, or performance incentives to recognize and reward employees’ hard work and dedication. Joining Hilton as a Housekeeper not only offers the opportunity to contribute to maintaining a world-class guest experience but also provides career growth possibilities within a prestigious hospitality brand committed to employee development and well-being.
