Job Description

Our hotel, located conveniently off Interstate 95 and just one mile from downtown Milford, stands as a beacon of comfort and convenience. Surrounded by popular shopping, dining, and entertainment options, our guests enjoy easy access to local businesses such as Subway, Avangrid, Sikorsky, Covidien, and Alexion Pharmaceuticals. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you play a critical role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness, comfort, and safety that our guests expect. Your leadership ensures that every room not only meets but exceeds expectations, creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages guests to return. This position requires overseeing daily housekeeping operations, managing team productivity, and stepping up as the Housekeeping Manager in their absence. You will lead and inspire a team of Room Attendants and House Attendants, focusing on clear communication, hands-on training, and fostering a positive work environment. Your responsibilities also extend to maintaining safety and security protocols including key control, lost-and-found management, and access to sensitive areas. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of experience in a hotel or related field
  • previous supervisory experience preferred
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to perform housekeeping duties

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily housekeeping operations including inspections, reports, and productivity checks
  • lead and inspire Room Attendants and House Attendants through clear communication and training
  • handle lost-and-found items, maintain key control, and manage access to secure areas
  • ensure sanitation and cleanliness standards are consistently met across all facilities and equipment
  • step in for Housekeeping Manager during absences
  • monitor inventory and order housekeeping supplies as needed
  • conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to housekeeping staff
