As the Food & Beverage Manager at Hilton Baton Rouge, you will play a pivotal role in elevating the guest dining experience by leading and inspiring the food and beverage team. This role demands a proactive leader with a passion for hospitality who can oversee all aspects of food and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional service from casual lounge settings to large banquet events. You will be the “Captain of Hospitality,” responsible for fostering an upbeat and welcoming atmosphere for both guests and team members. This includes training and coaching staff to maintain smooth and efficient shifts, thereby delivering consistent quality and positive guest experiences.

Your expertise in operations and compliance is critical, as you will uphold stringent standards related to safety, grooming, certifications (such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid), and overall food and beverage quality. You will expertly manage administrative duties including payroll, scheduling, and the generation of operational reports to ensure resources are effectively allocated and productivity is maximized. Additionally, you will oversee inventory purchasing and develop engaging promotions to drive sales and enhance the customer experience.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential in this leadership role. You will serve as the key point of contact for guest inquiries and concerns, ensuring issues are resolved swiftly and to guests’ satisfaction. Your ability to stay composed under pressure and exhibit sound decision-making will be vital as you collaborate with various departments and participate in management meetings.   • proficient in windows spreadsheets and word processing
  • strong financial and arithmetic skills
  • supervisory experience preferred

  • ability to stay composed and objective under pressure
