The role of a Hiker/Parking Attendant at InterPark is crucial to maintaining the smooth flow of vehicle traffic within the parking facility. This position involves expertly parking customer vehicles upon entry and promptly retrieving them when customers exit. Attendants work under demanding conditions that require driving skills for both automatic and manual transmission cars, often maneuvering vehicles in confined, underground garages or on steep parking ramps. The role demands vigilance, an understanding of safety protocols, and a proactive approach to identifying and reporting hazards or suspicious activities to management. Hiker/Parking Attendants also provide frontline customer service by addressing customer questions, problems, or complaints efficiently and courteously. Additional duties may include assisting customers in and out of vehicles, performing light maintenance or cashier tasks, and operating equipment such as man lifts, depending on location needs.

Job Requirements
- Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the US
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license required depending on location
- Must be able to pass a basic math skills test

Job Qualifications
- Know how to drive automatic and manual transmission passenger vehicles
- Possess math skills sufficient to calculate time and money
- Able to understand and follow verbal instructions promptly
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Professional experience in parking cars or valet services preferred
- Prior customer service experience
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers, co-workers, and management
- Strong time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and strong customer focus
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
Job Duties
- Drive, maneuver, and park automatic and manual transmission cars in confined, underground, and surface parking facilities
- Return to work stations quickly to facilitate optimal customer flow
- Handle vehicles with care and follow all facility safety precautions
- Monitor work area for safety and security and report any accidents, hazards, or suspicious activities to management immediately
- Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customer needs, questions, and complaints efficiently
- Assist customers in and out of vehicles when necessary
- Perform cashier duties or light garage maintenance based on location requirements
- Operate man lifts if required by the location
