The role of Territory Sales Associate (TSA) at The Hershey Company is a part-time position ideal for individuals who enjoy relationship building and have a passion for sales. This position offers a flexible schedule working 20-25 hours per week, typically during core business hours Monday through Friday between 6:00 am and 4:00 pm. A TSA is responsible for managing a designated sales territory covering multiple retail accounts, typically making between 6 to 10 visits in a single day. This role is remote, requiring candidates to reside within or be willing to commute to specific zip code areas primarily in and around Roseville, CA. Although the work is remote and flexible, the role entails daily travel via the TSA's personal vehicle for approximately 55 miles, with reimbursed mileage at 62 cents per mile. The territory size may vary, and the TSA is expected to maintain a consistent presence in assigned stores, engaging with key decision-makers and ensuring the optimal execution of sales and merchandising plans.
The TSA is tasked with promoting 100% distribution of all authorized Hershey products in their territory, ensuring flawless retail execution. This includes placing and maintaining permanent secondary displays, replenishing inventory, and collaborating closely with retailers to increase product visibility and sales. Effective reporting is paramount, and the TSA is required to submit daily reports on activities, expenses, promotional efforts, and any account changes utilizing tablet technology. Job Requirements
- Must have a valid US state issued driver’s license
- Must have a personal vehicle in sound operating condition
- Must maintain personal auto insurance indicating minimum coverage of $100,000 per person / $100,000 per accident / $100,000 property damage with business use permitted
- Must reside or be willing to commute within the territory boundaries as listed
- Must be able to drive long distances to make multiple sales calls on a daily basis
- Must be able to lift 10-40 lbs on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodations
- Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop down and demonstrate manual dexterity frequently with or without reasonable accommodations
- Must be able to use tablet technology
- Must have daily access to wireless internet
- Must have flexibility and adaptability to changes in territory coverage
- Availability to work 20-25 hours per week
- Education level: high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience: 3-4 years food merchandising preferred but not required

Job Duties
- Sell and maintain 100% distribution of all authorized Hershey items in assigned territory
- Ensure flawless retail execution of Headquarter Sales and Merchandising Plans with various retailers
- Achieve all merchandising objectives through the effective use of permanent secondary displays and other display vehicles
- Report weekly activity, expenses, account changes, promotions and all administrative functions within assigned territory
- Report daily activities using tablets and submit upon completion of each day
- Manage sales territory with tasks varying due to territory size, number of retailers, and location
