Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years previous serving, bartending or other restaurant experience required
  • Prior supervisory experience in food and beverage preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, reach, grasp, push, pull frequently
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Commitment to adhere to hotel security, fire, and health and safety regulations
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Willingness to attend mandatory meetings.

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Completes the daily tasks of a floor supervisor as it pertains to assisting bartenders, servers, food runners, barbacks and all other positions you can lend assistance
  • Training of all new positions with 5-star service standards and ongoing training of the service staff to include periodic training topics on products, procedures, and service standards
  • Address guest concerns and ensure a prompt resolution
  • Supervise food and beverage pool bar outlet operations and quality
  • Communicate and delegate tasks to the team
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards
  • Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assist food and beverage management with achieving financial targets
  • Assist food and beverage management with training and development of team members
  • Assist with annual appraisals of team members under your responsibility
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
  • Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
  • Responsible for establishing partnerships with F&B management team
  • Keep active spill sheets for all wasted beverages
  • Conduct monthly inventory
  • Serve as bartender trainer for new and existing staff and uphold bar standards with team
  • Establish bar standards for liquor, beer, wine, soft beverage, barista and garnishes
  • Implement all opening and closing checklists for staff and ensure standards are upheld
  • Maintain open and frequent communication with the food and beverage outlet managers
  • Develop a daily huddle and ensure daily participation
  • Implement a bi-weekly cleaning schedule
  • Enforce meal and rest breaks are taken at appropriate times
  • Ensure that all operating equipment is in proper working order, and that equipment and supplies are sanitary and clean
  • Develop a strategy to increase SALT scores and execute with staff
  • Attend mandatory meetings including executive meetings, staff meetings, etc.
