Job Description

Henrietta's Table is a celebrated restaurant nestled within The Charles Hotel, a prestigious independent luxury hotel situated in the vibrant city of Cambridge, Massachusetts. The Charles Hotel offers an urban oasis blending the charm and heritage of New England with modern amenities and outstanding service. Recognized as a AAA Four Diamond property and a proud member of Preferred Hotels and Resorts, The Charles provides guests with luxurious accommodations, state-of-the-art technology, and extensive event spaces totaling 18,000 square feet for both indoor and outdoor gatherings. Its prime location near downtown Boston and world-class attractions makes it an ideal destination for travelers seeking both comfort and cultural experiences, with access to renowned dining, including Henrietta's Table.

Henrietta's Table, the hotel's signature farm-to-table New England restaurant, is looking for a Head Chef to lead its dynamic culinary team. The Head Chef will serve as the creative and operational leader of the kitchen, responsible for crafting inventive menus that emphasize fresh, local ingredients while maintaining the classic flavors and culinary traditions of New England cuisine. This role demands a perfect balance between culinary artistry and business acumen to ensure the restaurant runs smoothly and profitably.

As Head Chef, you will be the face of Henrietta's Table, engaging warmly with guests and members to personalize their dining experience and contribute to the restaurant's reputation as a highlight of the Boston-area dining scene. You will manage kitchen operations, uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety, and spearhead innovation in menu development alongside the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs. Leading by example in an open kitchen environment, you'll inspire and mentor the team to deliver excellence consistently.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to join The Charles Hotel, a workplace known for its entrepreneurial culture and supportive environment. Employees enjoy comprehensive benefits including Blue Cross Blue Shield medical insurance starting at an affordable weekly rate, access to a 401(k) plan with company matching, nine paid holidays plus an additional personal day, travel benefits across multiple hotel brands, complimentary daily meals, discounted parking, and a generous referral bonus. The Head Chef role represents more than just a job; it’s a chance to be a culinary rock star in one of New England's most respected hotel restaurants, where your creativity, leadership, and passion for food will shine.
