Additional duties involve washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding various fruits and vegetables, as well as butchering chicken, fish, and shellfish when instructed. Helper Cooks may also participate in baking bread, rolls, cakes, and pastries as their skills progress. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area and equipment is a critical responsibility, with a strong focus on following sanitation and safety principles.
