Additionally, the company is committed to equal employment opportunities and values diversity and inclusion in its workforce.
The role of a Reclaimer/Pulverizer Mixer Operator within Zachry's highway construction team is vital for the success of various roadway projects. This position involves operating specialized heavy equipment such as reclaimers and pulverizers, which are essential for breaking up, mixing, and stabilizing roadway materials. The operator ensures that materials such as asphalt, base materials, and soil are properly prepared according to project specifications. This work requires a solid understanding of soil stabilization techniques and asphalt recycling processes to enhance road durability and longevity. Safety is a paramount concern in this role; therefore, adherence to all safety regulations and company policies is mandatory to maintain a secure work environment.
The ideal candidate will possess not only experience in heavy equipment operation but also strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and fellow operators. The position demands physical stamina as it involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, lifting materials up to 50 pounds, and standing for extended periods. Zachry provides a supportive environment where operators are encouraged to perform routine maintenance on their equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure project timelines are met efficiently.
Overall, this is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a rewarding career in construction with a company that values its employees, offers competitive benefits, and is dedicated to building America's future.
