The role of Heavy Duty Porter on the 3rd shift offers an exciting opportunity to be part of Boyd Gaming's dynamic team. This role requires performing extensive cleaning and maintenance duties to ensure the casino environment remains pristine and welcoming for guests and team members alike. The Heavy Duty Porter will operate various small cleaning machines such as extractors, auto scrubbers, buffers, and overhead lifts to maintain all areas of the property, including restrooms, floors, furniture, marble, brass, lighting fixtures, and more. This role emphasizes strict adherence to guest service standards, safety protocols, and department policies specific to the property. Additionally, the Heavy Duty Porter will handle duties such as trash removal, snow removal for trash runs, restocking essential supplies, and responding promptly to guest requests. The position is uniformed, and maintaining a professional image and ethical behavior at all times is a must.

six months experience in the cleaning field

Job Duties

Adhere to guest service requirements
adhere to established department and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards
operate small cleaning equipment such as extractors, auto scrubbers, buffers, and overhead lifts
clean restrooms, mirrors, sinks, counter tops, cigarette urns, and toilets
empty trash bins and pick up loose papers from floors, sinks, and counter tops as well as sweep and mop floors
remove all trash to exterior trash points
remove snow for trash run
replace toilet tissue and refill paper towel dispensers
clean and polish all furniture, marble, brass, brass floor plates, and entrance door brass and kick door brass plates
clean brass, lighting, walls and carpeting
clean and dust all lighting and lampshades
vacuum flooring, clean windows, clean window ledges and clean team member restaurant floors, and sanitize all guest and team member areas
respond to reasonable guest requests or place guest in contact with appropriate person for assistance
adhere to standards and operating procedures as outlined in the Belterra Park EVS Manual
maintain compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on duty
be familiar with and ensure safe and proper use of all equipment and chemicals
maintain the strictest confidence of any confidential and proprietary information
maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics, and image of self
perform other duties assigned by the department Manager and Shift Supervisor on duty
