Job Requirements
- Minimum three years of mixing and baking artisanal bread and pastries
- Minimum two years of leading a team
- Basic math and measuring skills
- Good work ethic, communication, and time management skills
- Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment including mixers and ovens
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to eight hours including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting
- Ability to clearly communicate with supervisor regarding concerns
- Food handler's certification
- Desirable bachelor's degree in hospitality or similar education

Job Duties
- Monitor dough productions and follow schedules for each step of the bagel process
- Monitor oven temperatures, speed settings, mixing machines, and other baking equipment
- Lead the baking team to ensure quality and consistency of artisan bagels, sandwiches, loaded bagels, and pastries
- Follow standard operating procedures and health and safety plans
- Track and minimize waste
- Accurately weigh, measure, and mix raw ingredients
- Oversee the production of sandwich prep, stuffed bagels, and smears
- Build a bakery culture that fosters and engages staff
- Train and educate bakers effectively
- Ensure bakery equipment is serviced and cleaned as needed
- Manage inventory of all goods
- Place accurate food orders based on inventory
- Monitor kitchen cleanliness and porters' performance
- Maintain a positive attitude and act as a mentor
