The Kitchen Staff position at Buffalo Wild Wings involves the preparation and production of various menu items across multiple kitchen stations including Chip, Shake, Grill, Southwest, and Expo stations. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Chip station involves preparing fried chips, wedges, and onion rings according to standardized portioning and frying procedures, including fryer maintenance. The Grill station demands preparing grilled items by following specific prep sheets and maintaining cleanliness and quality standards.

The Shake station is responsible for managing sauces and seasonings, ensuring pumps and containers are clean, primed, and correctly filled, and verifying hot wing holding drawers maintain the required temperature. For the Southwest station, the role includes preparing wraps, salads, and flatbreads, maintaining proper cold rail stocking, and ensuring the workstation is sanitary. The Expo station serves as the critical link between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, focusing on communication, food presentation, quality control, and timely order delivery.

Beyond preparing food, this position requires managing shift change responsibilities such as cleaning and restocking stations, following FIFO (First In, First Out) and LDIR (Local Daily Inventory Rotation) procedures, handling waste documentation, and equipment monitoring. The fast-paced nature of the environment demands excellent organization, time management, and teamwork skills. Employees are expected to help other stations as needed and follow specific fryers' filtering schedules to maintain fryer oil quality.

The person in this role must demonstrate knowledge of proper sanitation, food safety, and security protocols, possess excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, and have the ability to take direction while contributing positively to team goals.
