Job Description
LAZ Parking is a leading parking management company dedicated to providing exceptional parking services and customer experiences. With a robust presence in the parking industry, LAZ Parking manages a wide portfolio of parking facilities across the United States, including urban centers, airports, hospitals, and event venues. The company prides itself on its commitment to its employees, whom it regards as its most valuable asset, offering a comprehensive benefits package, training, and career development opportunities to support their professional and personal growth. This role is based in San Jose, California, located at a Kaiser Permanente facility, and offers full-time employment from Monday to Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with a competitive pay rate of 25 dollars per hour.
The position of Healthcare Valet Parking Attendant at LAZ Parking plays a vital role in delivering a positive first and last impression to clients and customers. The attendant is responsible for warmly welcoming visitors, managing vehicle parking and retrieval efficiently, and ensuring smooth traffic flow in the parking area. This role demands a courteous, professional demeanor and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Encompassing much more than just moving vehicles, the attendant also fosters meaningful connections with customers, providing exceptional service that reflects the company’s values.
The role requires excellent driving skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to operate vehicles with both automatic and manual transmissions safely. Additional qualities such as resilience under pressure, effective communication, and teamwork skills are essential to succeed in the fast-paced and sometimes chaotic environment of valet parking. Physical stamina is also critical, as the job entails standing, walking, bending, and lifting during long shifts and various weather conditions. The company offers supportive programs including health coaching, an employee assistance program with confidential counseling, and healthcare financing options designed to enhance employee well-being beyond the workplace.
Candidates applying for this role should possess a valid driver’s license held for at least two years with a clean driving record. While a high school diploma or GED is preferred, it is not mandatory. Previous experience in customer service, cash handling, or the parking industry is beneficial but not required. Core skills required include professional communication, flexibility to work at multiple facility locations, strong decision-making abilities, and the capacity to handle challenging situations gracefully. Upholding LAZ Parking’s standards means embracing a positive attitude, promoting excellent customer relations at every interaction, and demonstrating a self-reliant work ethic.
Furthermore, this position requires mandatory COVID-19 vaccination compliance, reflecting the company’s commitment to health and safety standards. LAZ Parking is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusion, ensuring fair hiring practices for all candidates regardless of race, sex, religion, or any other legally protected characteristics. The company also utilizes E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility. By joining LAZ Parking, employees become part of a dynamic and supportive community where they can develop their skills, build lasting friendships, and enjoy a rewarding career in the parking management industry.
