The position of Shift Lead at the Banner Health location in Phoenix, AZ, offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual eager to take on a leadership role within a reputable organization. This is a non-exempt, tipped position with an hourly pay rate of $16.50 plus tips, working Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. The Shift Lead plays a crucial role in overseeing operations during the absence of location management, ensuring that revenue goals are met, expenses are monitored, and customer satisfaction remains at peak levels. The role is pivotal in executing strategies aligned with client expectations while supporting the broader organizational objectives.

As a Shift Lead, the individual will be responsible for supporting management in various operational aspects including financial performance, safety measures, and service quality. They will conduct and participate in daily and internal meetings to ensure seamless communication and execution of company policies and initiatives. Additionally, the Shift Lead ensures staff adherence to company rules and addresses any service or client issues promptly and effectively. This leadership capacity requires a proactive approach to resolving challenges, mentoring staff, and fostering a safe and productive work environment.

People management is a significant component of the Shift Lead's responsibilities. Physical endurance is necessary as the role includes working outdoors in various weather conditions and involves physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, and standing for extended periods.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Support location management with the financial, operational, safety and service-related success at their hotel
  • attend daily stand up meetings and resume meetings scheduled by client
  • ensure LAZ internal stand up meetings (pre-shifts or 'huddles') are held each shift
  • ensure staff adheres to rules of conduct, policies and procedures
  • embrace, resolve, and see through to resolution any customer service or client concerns
  • communicate any challenges to location management to address
  • additional duties as assigned
