Job Requirements
- culinary degree or equivalent education preferred
- three to five years of relevant culinary management experience
- ability to lead and manage a culinary team effectively
- strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office
- excellent communication skills
- availability for weekday work hours with rotating holiday and weekend on-call duties
Job Qualifications
- culinary degree or degree in food services technology or management preferred
- three to five years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
- experience in healthcare, college/university, country club, or full-service restaurant settings preferred
- strong leadership and communication skills
- knowledge of current food and catering trends
- proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and internet
- ServSafe certification
Job Duties
- lead culinary operations for a 687-bed hospital with retail cafes and a coffee shop
- develop menus that meet high culinary standards across inpatient and retail services
- manage inventory, purchasing, and food cost controls
- train, develop, and provide leadership to a 26-member culinary team
- oversee food safety and sanitation practices to ensure compliance
- analyze performance metrics and implement operational improvements
- plan and manage catering events with culinary focus
