The Healthcare Host/Hostess role at Hillcrest Medical Center, operated by Sodexo, presents an opportunity for individuals passionate about making a meaningful impact through exceptional customer service within a healthcare setting. This position is part-time with rotating shifts, offering a pay rate of $15.00 per hour, and requires open availability to meet the varying scheduling needs of the medical center. The Healthcare Host/Hostess acts as a warm, welcoming ambassador for Sodexo, providing a positive experience to patients, hospital staff, and guests.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of patient meal trays and floor stock. Your duties include communicating effectively with patients and staff to confirm meal orders and special dietary needs, delivering meal carts to patient units, and assisting with meal set-up at the bedside to provide personal and attentive service. You will also manage inventory for nourishment areas, restock items as needed, and properly handle technical equipment related to meal service. Attention to detail, reliability, and a nurturing attitude are crucial to maintaining a healthy and safe environment for both patients and coworkers.

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Adaptability to varying work shifts
- Basic knowledge of food safety and handling
- Customer service experience is a plus
- Ability to operate technical equipment relevant to the role
Job Duties
- Effectively communicate with patients, staff and guests of the hospital to ensure accuracy and timelines of patient meal trays and floor stock
- Record the amount and type of special food
- Delivering meal carts to patient units
- Aid in the meal set-up at bedside with direct patient contact
- Discard soiled trays
- Take inventory of nourishment areas, stock when necessary and accurately operate technical equipment
- Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
- Perform other duties as assigned which may vary by location and client requirements
