The role available is a part-time Healthcare Host/Hostess position located at Atrium Health University City, with a competitive pay rate of $19.00 per hour. Your primary responsibility is to enhance the patient experience by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of meal trays and floor stock, while maintaining compassionate interaction at bedside. This role demands a dedication to quality service, attention to detail, and the ability to operate relevant equipment and manage inventory effectively. You will actively contribute to a safe and healthy workplace by exhibiting reliability and teamwork.

Your duties include communicating effectively with hospital personnel and patients to sync meal service schedules, meticulous recording of special dietary needs, managing meal carts, and assisting at the bedside to set up meals and remove soiled trays. This role is critical in supporting patient satisfaction, comfort, and nutritional care by ensuring meal services run smoothly and professionally.

Job Duties

  • Effectively communicate with patients, staff and guests of the hospital to ensure accuracy and timelines of patient meal trays and floor stock
  • Record the amount and type of special food
  • Deliver meal carts to patient units
  • Aid in meal set-up at bedside with direct patient contact
  • Discard soiled trays
  • Take inventory of nourishment areas, stock when necessary and accurately operate technical equipment
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
