The Healthcare Host/Hostess position at UT Health Jacksonville is a full-time role where you play an essential part in delivering exceptional patient and guest experiences within a hospital setting. Working morning, afternoon, or evening shifts on varying days with rotating weekends, this role offers a dynamic work schedule that supports work-life balance. Your hourly pay ranges from $13.00 to $14.08, reflecting your vital contribution to the healthcare team. As a Healthcare Host/Hostess, you serve as a warm and friendly ambassador, greeting patients, visitors, and staff with genuine care and professionalism.

In this role, you are responsible for clear communication with patients and hospital staff to ensure meal trays are delivered accurately and on time, meeting specific dietary requirements. Your duties include delivering meal carts, assisting with bedside meal setup, discarding soiled trays, and maintaining nourishment areas by taking inventory and restocking supplies. This position demands attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to creating a safe and healthy environment. You will also operate technical equipment required for meal delivery and adhere to work schedules with punctuality and consistency.

Job Duties

  • Effectively communicate with patients, staff and guests of the hospital to ensure accuracy and timelines of patient meal trays and floor stock

  • Discard soiled trays
  • Take inventory of nourishment areas and stock when necessary
  • Accurately operate technical equipment
