The role of Healthcare Host/Hostess at Piedmont Macon Medical Center is a full-time position, offering a pay rate of $14.00 per hour. This position involves working mornings, afternoons, and evenings on varying days, including rotating weekends, providing flexibility to accommodate the hospital's operational needs. As a Healthcare Host/Hostess employed by Sodexo, a global leader in food service and facilities management, you will be an essential part of the patient care experience by delivering an exceptional level of customer service and support.
In this role, you serve as a warm-welcomer and experience ambassador, ensuring that patients, staff, and guests receive attentive and courteous service. Your responsibilities include effectively communicating with patients and hospital staff to ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of patient meal trays and floor stock. You will record special food orders accurately and assist in delivering meal carts to patient units. Additionally, you will help set up meals at the bedside with direct patient interaction, discard soiled trays, and maintain nourishment areas by taking inventory and restocking as needed. This position also requires you to operate technical equipment proficiently and maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.

Job Duties
- Effectively communicate with patients, staff and guests of the hospital to ensure accuracy and timelines of patient meal trays and floor stock
- Record the amount and type of special food
- Delivering meal carts to patient units

- Discard soiled trays
- Take inventory of nourishment areas, stock when necessary and accurately operate technical equipment
- Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
- Perform other duties as assigned according to business needs and client requirements
