The Healthcare Host/Hostess role at Sodexo, located at University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center, is a full-time position offering an hourly wage range between $15.75 to $20.63. This role is essential within the patient experience team, acting as a welcoming and service ambassador who ensures patients, hospital staff, and guests receive timely and courteous meal service and support. The position involves working varying shifts that include days, hours, and rotating weekends, providing flexibility but requiring reliability and punctuality.
In this role, the Healthcare Host/Hostess plays a critical part in maintaining quality standards in patient nutrition and comfort. Responsibilities include communicating effectively with hospital personnel and patients to verify accuracy and timeliness of meal trays and floor stock; recording special food requests; delivering meal carts; assisting with bedside meal setup which includes direct patient contact; discarding soiled trays; managing inventory for nourishment areas; restocking supplies when necessary; and operating technical equipment accurately. The role demands attentiveness to detail, warm interpersonal skills, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Duties
- Effectively communicate with patients, staff and guests of the hospital to ensure accuracy and timelines of patient meal trays and floor stock
- Record the amount and type of special food
- Deliver meal carts to patient units
- Aid in the meal set-up at bedside with direct patient contact
- Discard soiled trays
- Take inventory of nourishment areas, stock when necessary and accurately operate technical equipment
- Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
- Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements
