The position of Healthcare Host/Hostess at Sodexo is a full-time opportunity located at Our Lady of the Lake. As a Healthcare Host/Hostess, you act as an ambassador of hospitality within the hospital, ensuring that meal services run smoothly and patients receive timely and accurate food deliveries. Your role involves direct interaction with patients, providing assistance with meal setup at the bedside, and ensuring cleanliness by discarding soiled trays. You are responsible for maintaining inventory in nourishment areas as well as operating relevant technical equipment efficiently and accurately. This position requires strong communication skills to coordinate with patients, hospital staff, and other team members to deliver exceptional customer service and meet scheduling demands. Job Duties
- Effectively communicate with patients, staff and guests to ensure accuracy and timeliness of patient meal trays and floor stock
- Record the amount and type of special food
- Deliver meal carts to patient units
- Aid in meal set-up at bedside with direct patient contact
- Discard soiled trays
- Take inventory of nourishment areas, stock when necessary and operate technical equipment accurately
- Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with regularity
- Perform other duties as assigned depending on client requirements
