Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- skilled nursing or retirement community cooking experience
- experience with dietary restrictions and modified diets
- ability to comply with food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to operate kitchen equipment
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends
Job Qualifications
- Skilled nursing or retirement community cooking experience
- experience with dietary restrictions and modified diets
- scratch cooking experience
- fine dining or country club cooking experience
- culinary education
Job Duties
- Prepares food including washing, trimming, cutting, portioning, measuring, mixing, and panning
- cooks food including baking, broiling, frying, steaming, braising, boiling, and pressure cooking
- operates and cleans food preparation equipment including grills, broilers, ovens, steamer tables, mixers, microwave ovens, and toasters
- complies with all food preparation standards and health and safety requirements
- maintains sanitary standards for the handling, transportation, and storage of food
