Gordian is currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Account Manager to join its team in Cleveland, Ohio. This role demands a professional with strong construction expertise and the ability to use Gordian’s leading construction data and software solutions to deliver tangible results for clients. The Account Manager primarily supports clients through training and product support related to Job Order Contracting, a specialized procurement and construction process widely used by federal, state, and local governments, educational institutions, hospitals, and other organizations to expedite construction projects while maximizing cost savings and maintaining high standards.

In this role, you will prepare detailed schedules and oversee procurement activities for client projects, ensuring compliance with contract scopes and efficient execution. You will use your construction plan reading skills to analyze and review comprehensive price proposals. You will also provide critical training to contractors on client procedures and Gordian software, thus equipping the workforce to meet project requirements seamlessly. Your responsibilities will extend to managing multiple accounts simultaneously and fostering strong client relationships to enhance retention and satisfaction.

Further, you will collaborate closely with internal teams, including Project Managers, Finance, Sales, and Business Operations, to ensure smooth contract renewals, billing, and revenue forecasting. The Account Manager actively participates in developing new process workflows and troubleshooting operational issues to continually improve Gordian’s service delivery. Your collaborative work with construction management firms and client representatives will promote consistency and best practices across projects. Additionally, leverage your analytical and reporting skills to monitor construction activities, review daily inspection reports, and update management on project progress.

This is a pivotal role requiring strong communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. You will be client-focused and results-driven, with a passion for delivering superior customer service while managing a demanding travel schedule, typically 50-75 percent within the assigned geographic area. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in appropriate field or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of relevant construction procurement or management experience
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to travel 50-75% within assigned geographic area
  • Client-focused with strong problem-solving and time management skills

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of construction procurement, construction management, or general contracting experience related to healthcare construction
  • Knowledge of Job Order Contracting or IDIQ preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerBi
  • Background in construction documentation and administration preferred
  • Certified Healthcare Constructor, Certified Healthcare Facility Manager, or Certified Healthcare Physical Environment Worker certifications preferred
  • Knowledge of ICRA/LFSM preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare and maintain schedules of detailed activities to accomplish procurement objectives within a specified time period for clients
  • Implement and adhere to project procedures from project identification through construction execution to accomplish specific objectives for various Job Orders
  • Read and understand construction plans and specifications and conduct comprehensive price proposal reviews
  • Train contractors in Gordian software, client procedures and assist in contract bidding
  • Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time and budget
  • Manage multiple accounts and develop positive working relationships with clients
  • Drive client retention, renewals, upsells and client satisfaction
