The Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) position at MultiCare Valley Hospital presents an exciting opportunity for healthcare professionals who are passionate about patient care and communication. The HUC serves as a pivotal communication hub within the hospital, supporting effective care delivery and patient services. This role involves coordinating care activities, assisting in patient monitoring, and promoting mobility while working closely with the clinical team, including Clinical Directors and Registered Nurses (RNs).

The position is a part-time role with a 0.9 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE), offering a variable 12-hour day shift schedule totaling 36 hours per week. In this role, the Health Unit Coordinator will enhance their patient care and communication skills, applying independent decision-making and interpersonal abilities to support patients from diverse backgrounds. The HUC acts as a receptionist and communication liaison, cultivating strong collaboration with clinical leaders to optimize care outcomes. The hospital’s commitment to staff well-being is reflected in comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, retirement plans, paid time off, and programs such as Code Lavender and Employee Assistance Program to support balance and mental health.
