Job Description
The Arcadia Family of Companies is a well-established local non-profit organization dedicated to providing high-quality senior living services. This organization operates with a mission to meet the spiritual, physical, and social needs of every resident, client, and member in a compassionate and dynamic environment. Known for its commitment to excellence in senior care, Arcadia Family of Companies comprises several specialized entities including Arcadia itself, 15 Craigside, Arcadia Adult Day Care and Day Health Center, Arcadia Home Health and Home Care Services, Arcadia at Home, and Hale Ola Kino by Arcadia. Each organization within this family strives to foster an atmosphere of respect, dignity, and outstanding service for its community of seniors.
Joining the Arcadia Family means becoming part of a team that values collaboration, empathy, and integrity. Employees are the heart of the organization, and the culture reflects these values through open communication and mutual support. The work environment is designed to be nurturing both for residents and staff, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and individual contribution to making a positive impact every single day. With a strong focus on employee growth and well-being, Arcadia offers a range of benefits and professional development opportunities to support its workforce.
The specific role offered is a rewarding entry-level healthcare position located at Hale Ola Kino by Arcadia. This casual hire opportunity involves working less than 20 hours per week with shifts available on Monday and Wednesday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The pay range is competitive, from $17.00 to $18.53 hourly. As a member of the healthcare team, you will assist with various daily responsibilities including support in dining services, housekeeping, clerical tasks, and other related services. This role is integral in ensuring residents receive the highest standard of care and enjoy quality daily living.
Duties will include preparing dining rooms for meals by cleaning and setting up, assisting residents during meal times in a family-style environment, transporting residents safely for activities or meals, and monitoring residents’ daily health indicators such as vital signs and intake/output of food and fluids. You will also provide companion services, observe and report changes in residents’ conditions to licensed staff, maintain a safe and sanitary environment, and encourage participation in social and recreational activities. Along with these hands-on responsibilities, compliance with mandatory in-service training, emergency preparedness, and organizational policies is essential.
Throughout the role, you will be supported by comprehensive benefits including full medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents, a generous 403(b) retirement plan with an employer contribution, free employee meals, paid time off including your birthday as a holiday, sick leave, and opportunities for professional development such as certification assistance for becoming a Certified Nurse Aid (CNA). The organization also provides access to extensive online training resources to help enhance your professional skills.
If you are compassionate, eager to contribute to the well-being of senior residents, and looking for a meaningful part-time role in healthcare, the Arcadia Family of Companies provides an excellent opportunity to grow while making a difference in your community.
