The Health Service Associate role at Clarendale of Chandler is integral to the daily operation and quality of care provided within this senior living community. With a starting hourly wage of $24.00, this position offers a meaningful and rewarding opportunity for those passionate about senior care and hospitality. The work schedule includes shifts from Sunday to Tuesday between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., and a half-day on Wednesday from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m., providing a structured yet flexible routine conducive to work-life balance.

In this role, the Health Service Associate is responsible for assisting residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, incontinent care, foot care, and vital signs monitoring. The role demands attentiveness to residents’ needs, fostering a supportive environment where seniors are encouraged to maintain dignity and independence. Additionally, the associate assists with mealtime activities, including cutting food and encouraging proper nutrition. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year experience as an AZ Certified Caregiver or Med Tech
  • Availability to work scheduled shifts including weekends
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members
  • Basic proficiency in personal care tasks
  • Ability to respond promptly to emergencies
  • Commitment to maintaining professional appearance and conduct

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • One year experience working as an Arizona Certified Caregiver or Med Tech preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor
  • Basic knowledge of senior care and personal assistance
  • Attention to detail and professionalism

Job Duties

  • Assist residents with personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, incontinent care, foot care, and vital signs
  • Assist residents with mealtime including cutting food and encouraging eating
  • Complete and document shift assignments and report to nursing supervisor if incomplete
  • Communicate with residents, families, department heads and director of resident services
  • Provide activities as planned or directed
  • Respond to call lights and emergencies promptly
