Job Requirements

  • Be trained and verified in Safe Haven - an Archdiocese requirement
  • Receive a criminal background check clearance
  • Commitment to the philosophy of Catholic school and value oriented education
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, typically August through June
  • Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to operate standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copiers
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience working in a school office environment
  • Proficiency in computer skills including MS Office
  • Familiarity with RenWeb and Raptor is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Good judgment, confidentiality, discretion and diplomacy
  • Strong interpersonal skills to relate to students, parents, and staff with warmth and professionalism

Job Duties

  • Label mail boxes in work room in the summer before teachers return
  • Assign car line numbers to new students and maintain updated documents
  • Collect, sort and alphabetize first of year documents for nurse and school filing
  • Welcome guests and check visitors in via Raptor system including scanning IDs and printing passes
  • Direct visitors to the correct staff or campus location
  • Check visitors out upon leaving the campus grounds
  • Monitor security cameras and gates
  • Maintain sidewalk signs
  • Mark student's time out and return in RenWeb system
  • Mark students tardy when arriving late to school
  • Answer phones and transfer calls or take messages and relay information
  • Handle communication inquiries from parents, students, faculty and staff
  • Coordinate bus transportation and payments
  • Prepare permission slips for teachers
  • Order and maintain copier and office supplies
  • Ensure office equipment maintenance
  • Send the principal's letters as needed
  • Manage flag pole maintenance
  • Disseminate lunch menus to faculty, staff and church
  • Pull daily lunch count reports
  • Liaise with police and traffic officers and manage school closing notifications
  • Cover nurse's office for minor situations and supervise students
  • Mail workroom boxes and receive packages
  • Fax, scan and copy documents
  • Keep office area clean and organized
