Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- Certification in First Aid and CPR preferred
- Ability to operate point of sales systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
- Flexibility to work weekends and varying shifts
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience is an asset
- Currently certified in First Aid and CPR is an asset
- Excel, WordPerfect 5.1 are an asset
- Physical education or hospitality background is preferred
- Available to work weekends and shift work
- Constant standing and walking throughout shifts
- May occasionally exert up to 10 pounds lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
Job Duties
- Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
- Be the first and last representation of the health club for guests and members
- General reception duties including meeting and greeting guests and hotel members
- Operating point of sales system to ensure proper billing of services to guests and members for services rendered
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area consistent with the high standards of the facility
- Ensure that the Health Club is safe and hazard free
- Maintain inventory and appearance of retail center
- Maintain general upkeep and cleanliness of entire health club facility, including but not limited to locker rooms and retail, reception, and lounge areas
- Handling cash and/or credit transactions while ensuring checks and balances through all venues
- Communicating with guests and members using correct verbiage and standard Fairmont telephone protocols
- Responsible for projects as assigned by manager
