Job Description
Planned Parenthood North Central States (PPNCS) is a leading organization dedicated to protecting, promoting, and providing comprehensive and progressive sexual and reproductive healthcare across Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. As part of the larger Planned Parenthood federation, PPNCS is committed to advancing and protecting reproductive rights and health, empowering individuals and communities to make informed decisions about their bodies and futures. Established with a mission to provide compassionate, high-quality care, PPNCS serves generations of people and families with empathy and respect. It offers a wide array of services ranging from family planning, abortion care, vasectomies, mental health support, to gender-affirming care, all delivered in a patient-centered environment that prioritizes dignity, responsiveness, and holistic well-being.
This job opening is for a Health Center Manager in Lincoln, Nebraska, located at 5631 South 48th Street, Suite 100. This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position with a pay range between $58,000 and $75,000 annually, commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications. The schedule includes standard clinic hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Wednesday from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. The role requires occasional travel for training, including about one week in Omaha and two weeks in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metro area.
As a Health Center Manager at Planned Parenthood, the incumbent plays a critical role at the forefront of delivering equitable, compassionate, and high-quality sexual and reproductive health care. This leadership position involves guiding a dedicated team of healthcare professionals in providing evidence-based services, shaping the future of care through operational excellence, strategic planning, and inclusive leadership. Unlike typical management roles, this position emphasizes driving meaningful change and fostering innovation that ensures every patient receives respectful, accessible, and high-standard care. The Health Center Manager is a mission-driven leader who champions PPNCS’s core values by promoting a high-performing, inclusive culture, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
The role encompasses myriad duties, including overseeing daily health center operations to achieve efficiency, productivity, revenue targets, and patient satisfaction goals. The manager ensures all regulatory compliance such as HIPAA, CLIA, and OSHA standards. They monitor and optimize workflows to eliminate barriers to staff performance and enhance patient experience. Additionally, the Health Center Manager takes an active role in staff development, hiring, training, coaching, conducting performance evaluations, and creating opportunities for professional growth. Financial oversight is another key component, requiring budget management, expense control, and analysis of operational data to drive continuous improvements.
Support for clinical activities, including assisting with non-licensed tasks and ensuring the health center’s physical environment adheres to safety and brand standards, is an important part of this position. The manager also advances all medical services offered and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to align operations with organizational goals. Through this role, the manager helps foster innovation around digital check-ins, telehealth, and new services, ensuring that the health center remains a pioneering leader in reproductive health.
PPNCS offers a comprehensive benefits package reflecting its commitment to employee well-being and development. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance with equitable premiums, free virtual primary care, employee assistance programs, continued education reimbursements, flexible spending accounts, paid time off including volunteer and parental leave, life insurance, retirement savings plans, pet insurance, bereavement leave, and more. The organization promotes a supportive work environment with start date flexibility, paid training, and reimbursement for travel related to training. PPNCS stands as an equal opportunity employer dedicated to diversity, inclusion, and providing reasonable accommodations, fostering a work culture where all employees can thrive and contribute to its mission of reproductive health equity.
