The Relationship Manager – Employee Benefits role at ADP is a dynamic and client-centered position designed for professionals with expertise in group health insurance and employee benefits. In this role, you will serve as the single point of contact for a dedicated book of business comprising Group Health Insurance clients. Your primary responsibility is to own, manage, and service these relationships by acting as a subject matter expert on employee benefits and providing proactive, consultative education and support. The ultimate goal is to drive exceptional client satisfaction, loyalty, and retention by continually addressing client needs with knowledgeable solutions and personalized interactions.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range from USD $47,400 to USD $96,300 per year, with potential additional compensation such as bonuses, commissions, or equity based on location, skills, and experience. ADP provides top-ranked training programs that prepare Relationship Managers for success and emphasize ongoing professional development. The day-to-day work involves managing the complex and varied requirements of client benefit programs, negotiating with insurance carriers for the best terms, and collaborating internally with teams such as Product Management, Implementation, Payroll, and Sales to ensure seamless service delivery.

The Relationship Manager role requires strong communication skills to build rapport and trust with clients. Clear, effective communication, both over the phone and in writing, is essential to simplify complex insurance concepts and guide clients toward informed decisions. The role also demands the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a professional demeanor. Beyond the technical and operational expertise, ADP emphasizes a workplace culture that includes fun, mentorship, and a genuine value for diverse perspectives.

In addition to managing client relationships, the Relationship Manager supports group benefit renewals, open enrollment processes, and the preparation of quote proposals and benefit guides. You will assist clients in designing and implementing their employee benefits programs, including group health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, and other ancillary coverages. Resolution of benefit service issues such as enrollments, billing, coverage, and claims is also part of the role, requiring thorough attention to detail and responsiveness.

Client retention is a vital focus, achieved by ensuring client satisfaction through regular engagement, feedback solicitation, upselling, and remarketing when appropriate. Monitoring and ensuring consistent use of ADP tools, communication protocols, and retention strategies help maintain long-term client loyalty. ADP’s inclusive and supportive workplace culture further enhances job satisfaction by promoting equity, inclusion, and belonging, offering career growth opportunities, health and wellness benefits starting from Day 1, as well as paid volunteer time off that encourages community engagement.
