Job Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques including laminated doughs, desserts, and viennoiserie
  • Experience with recipe development and seasonal pastry offerings
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work early morning, evening, weekend, or holiday shifts as required

Job Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques including laminated doughs, desserts, and viennoiserie
  • Experience with recipe development and seasonal pastry offerings
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to follow health department regulations and food safety standards
  • Experience leading a team in a bakery or culinary environment

Job Duties

  • Lead the pastry program including viennoiserie, desserts, and specialty pastry items
  • Develop and refine recipes while maintaining consistent product quality and presentation
  • Introduce seasonal pastry items that align with the bakery's concept and standards
  • Guide and support pastry team members including pastry chefs, pastry cooks, and assistants
  • Assist with hiring, training, and mentoring pastry staff
  • Maintain a professional and collaborative work environment
  • Coordinate pastry production to support daily bakery operations and special orders
