Job Description

Subway is one of the world’s most iconic and recognized fast-food brands, with a longstanding reputation for delivering fresh, customizable sandwiches to millions of customers worldwide. Known for its commitment to quality ingredients, customer satisfaction, and innovation, Subway operates thousands of outlets across North America and globally, serving a diverse clientele in various formats including traditional restaurants, non-traditional venues, and catering services. As a global leader in the quick-service restaurant (QSR) industry, Subway consistently invests in expanding its reach by adapting to modern consumer preferences, leveraging technology, and fostering strong franchisee relationships. The company’s culture encourages fast-paced innovation, ownership mentality, and high standards of accountability, all aimed at driving sustainable growth and profitability.

At Subway, the focus now is on building the future of the brand by enhancing franchisee profitability, strengthening the brand presence, and creating long-term value for stakeholders. This leadership position demands a strategic focus on accelerating growth and enhancing profitability through data-driven decision making and urgent execution. Managing these partnerships requires exceptional executive presence, negotiation skills, and cross-functional leadership, coordinating efforts across Operations, Marketing, Technology, Development, Legal, and Finance.

Key growth initiatives under this role involve launching and scaling Walmart’s third-party delivery (3PD) programs, advancing the Grab and Go store expansion, introducing digital catering solutions via the Subway app and website, and pursuing new development opportunities in airports and other high-traffic venues. The VP will also lead the design and implementation of business strategies tailored to each partner to outperform system sales targets, strengthen franchisee unit economics, and protect Subway’s real estate footprint.

This is a VP-level role offering a dynamic leadership challenge with visible impact across Subway’s North American business. It represents an opportunity to lead some of the brand’s most significant growth initiatives while fostering a high-performing, collaborative team culture. The position is a salaried role with regular employment status, and Subway offers a competitive compensation package reflective of the experience and expertise required.
