Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of five years experience in institutional food service
  • One year leadership experience preferred
  • California Food Handler Card from an ANSI accredited training provider required within 30 days of hire or transfer
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment, tools, and some office equipment
  • Ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and others
  • Being a team player

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Completes all daily restock responsibilities
  • Participates in all ongoing education activities
  • Utilizes hospital supplies and equipment efficiently
  • Demonstrates and ensures quality service and food safety practices
  • Maintains equipment and work areas in a sanitary and orderly condition
  • Completes all work responsibilities within specified time frames
  • Completes required documentation
  • Demonstrates flexibility during and between heavy workload periods
  • Ensures all work in specific areas is completed by staff
  • Provides leadership in the absence of a supervisor by ensuring adequate staffing and maintaining high-quality standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned
