The firm’s dedication to growth and excellence provides a dynamic environment that supports career development and industry leadership.

The position available is for the Executive Head Chef at 10 Barrel Pub, a part of 10 Barrel Brewing Co., located in Bend, Oregon. 10 Barrel Brewing Co. began in 2006 as a small brewery founded by three friends sharing a passion for brewing and enjoying beer in a fun and lively atmosphere. Since then, it has grown significantly but retains its core values of community, fun, and craft beer culture — making it an enjoyable place to work and visit.

The Executive Head Chef will hold a critical leadership role responsible for the comprehensive culinary management and operations of the kitchen. This includes overseeing full-scale dining services, catering, and banquet operations. The role demands accountability for menu innovation that is seasonal, brand-aligned, cost-effective, and creative, as well as maintaining exceptional food quality and safety standards. The chef will also control food costs, manage inventory, and ensure labor efficiency, all while leading a motivated kitchen team.

Moreover, the Executive Head Chef will serve as a hands-on leader during service hours, fostering a positive and collaborative environment that promotes high performance and accountability among staff. This role requires a dynamic individual adept at handling high-volume and multi-event service operations efficiently while maintaining culinary excellence. The candidate will be involved in hiring, onboarding, training, and mentoring kitchen personnel to build a strong kitchen culture that aligns with the company’s values.

Additional responsibilities include menu planning based on guest numbers and market trends, procurement oversight, and collaborating closely with the restaurant’s management team to ensure smooth front-of-house and back-of-house integration. The role calls for a strong business acumen to balance quality with profitability and optimize the kitchen’s P&L performance.

Environmental and physical job demands include working in hot, humid, and loud settings with frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 60 pounds. The company is committed to providing accommodations for applicants with disabilities throughout its recruitment and onboarding practices, ensuring equal opportunities for all candidates.

Tilray invites applications from qualified individuals and is committed to diversity and employment equity in the workplace. Importantly, Tilray does not use artificial intelligence tools for applicant screening, nor does it charge fees or authorize consultants to solicit personal or financial information during the hiring process.
