Job Description
Upper Crust Food Service is a reputable food service company that proudly specializes in catering to Sororities and Fraternities across the United States. Known widely for its dedication to freshness, quality, variety, and exceptional customer service, Upper Crust Food Service has established itself as a leader in providing delicious, healthy Greek life food. The company started with a clear vision to solve the common problem many Fraternity and Sorority houses face: a lack of consistency and professionalism in their kitchens. By focusing on great food made from scratch and personalized service, Upper Crust Food Service has grown to prepare tens of thousands of meals each week for students at colleges nationwide. Their commitment goes beyond simply delivering meals; they strive to create a dining experience that reflects the vibrant and dynamic culture of Greek life.
At Upper Crust Food Service, the role of the Head Chef is pivotal to maintaining their high standards. As a Head Chef, you become the crucial ingredient in ensuring that fresh, wholesome meals are consistently delivered to Greek organizations from coast to coast. The company offers an inviting work environment characterized by minimal late nights and weekend hours, which is notably rare in the hospitality industry. This role calls for a classically trained, passionate chef who thrives on creativity and innovation in the kitchen. You will be responsible for creating, planning, and executing all weekly menus from scratch with input from both clients and the management team, ensuring each meal boasts high quality, excellent flavor, and appealing presentation.
The responsibilities extend to overseeing all food preparation and kitchen staff, enforcing the highest sanitation standards, and maintaining open communication with management and customers. Additionally, the Head Chef will also manage kitchen schedules, stock inventory, and budget supplies, as well as train and evaluate team performance to uphold Upper Crust Food Service's core values and culture. This hardworking, hands-on role demands a professional attitude, strong leadership, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve outstanding outcomes. Plus, there’s the added opportunity to participate in special events to showcase culinary skills and creativity.
Upper Crust Food Service values inclusion, equal employment opportunities, and prohibits any discrimination or harassment in all aspects of employment. The company also offers competitive compensation and benefits, making this position appealing for experienced chefs seeking a balance between professional growth and lifestyle quality. If you’re someone who loves creating from-scratch meals, is comfortable in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and wishes to play a vital role in shaping the dining experience of Greek life nationally, then this Head Chef position at Upper Crust Food Service is the perfect career move. Apply now to become a part of a company that’s setting a new standard in fraternity and sorority dining services.
