Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- Have 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training
- Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to operate front-end equipment such as registers, calculators, and scanners
- Have good communication skills and ability to take direction and work well in a team
- Ability to perform repetitious tasks, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized
- Must lift and carry product weighing up to 30 lbs from 36 inches to 24 inches for distances up to 3 feet for up to 50 hours without mechanical assistance
- Must use both hands to move grocery carts horizontally requiring a force up to 35 lbs for distances up to 4 feet for up to 50 hours
- Strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers, cash handling, and mathematical skills
- Ability to read, write, and count

Job Duties
- Ensure excellent customer service through proactively visiting registers and providing direction/support to cashiers and courtesy clerks
- Assist in potential customer assistance issues at the register
- Assign store sweeps, monitor/maintain cash register supply levels and maintain cleanliness standards in the restrooms and parking lots
- Maintain visibility of the exit doors for security and loss prevention issues
- Schedule and oversee proper execution of appropriate meal and rest breaks in compliance with company policy and state requirements
- Assist in the hiring and training of new cashiers and taking necessary steps for disciplinary actions
- Operate front-end equipment such as registers, calculators, and scanners
