The position being offered is for a Head Cashier, a pivotal leadership role within the store. The Head Cashier is responsible for supervising a team of cashiers, ensuring optimal customer service, and assisting with various operational responsibilities. Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- possess a high school diploma or GED
- have 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training
- be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- have outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- ability to operate front end equipment
- possess good communication skills
- ability to take direction and constructive criticism
- be able to perform repetitious activities
- ability to multi-task, prioritize and stay organized
- must lift and carry product weighing up to 30 pounds for short distances
- must use both hands to move grocery carts requiring force up to 35 pounds for short distances

Job Duties
- Supervise a team of cashiers
- Provide direction and support to cashiers and courtesy clerks
- Assist with customer service issues at registers
- Assign store sweeps and maintain cash register supply levels
- Monitor cleanliness standards in restrooms and parking lots
- Maintain visibility for security and loss prevention at exit doors
- Schedule and oversee proper execution of meal and rest breaks in compliance with policies
- Assist in hiring and training new cashiers
- Take steps for disciplinary actions when necessary
