The Head Cashier position at Sprouts Farmers Market plays a crucial role in maintaining a smooth and efficient front-end operation while delivering excellent customer service. As a leader and mentor, the Head Cashier supervises a team of cashiers, ensuring that the highest standards of customer experience are met at all times. Job Requirements

  • Possess a high school diploma or GED
  • be at least 18 years old
  • have 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience with leadership training
  • ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to lift and carry products weighing up to 30 lbs
  • ability to move grocery carts requiring a force up to 35 lbs for extended periods
  • ability to operate front end equipment
  • good communication skills
  • ability to multitask and prioritize
  • strong attention to detail
  • dependability and reliability

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age

Job Duties

  • Supervise and lead a team of cashiers
  • assist with operational issues at the front end
  • ensure excellent customer service by supporting cashiers and courtesy clerks
  • assign store sweeps and monitor cash register supplies
  • maintain cleanliness standards in restrooms and parking lots
  • oversee exit door visibility for security and loss prevention
  • schedule and manage meal and rest breaks per policy and state requirements
  • assist in hiring and training new cashiers
  • take necessary disciplinary actions
