The role of Head Baker at Atlantic Fields is a critical leadership position within the Food and Beverage Culinary Department. The Head Baker is responsible for overseeing all bakery operations—from the mixing and proofing of artisan breads to the baking and presentation of specialty baked goods. Job Requirements

Must be able to work flexible work hours schedule including evenings weekends and holidays
Long hours may be required due to business demands
Positive attitude professional demeanor and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to stay calm and focused during busy times
Ability to read write speak and understand English additional languages preferred
Ability to meet physical demands including working indoors and outdoors standing walking for over eight hours and lifting items sometimes over fifty pounds
Flexibility and ability to adapt to new projects and fast paced environment

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Degree or certification in Baking and Pastry Arts Culinary Arts or related field preferred
At least ten years of experience as a Baker preferably in a high end fast paced establishment such as a luxury hotel or country club
Extraordinary attention to detail quality and service

Job Duties

Direct and oversee daily bakery operations including mixing proofing baking finishing and presentation of baked goods
Develop and manage production schedules to meet service and event demands
Delegate tasks and ensure workflow efficiency in bakery operations
Monitor production to ensure availability while minimizing waste
Maintain consistency in quality appearance taste and presentation
Create test and refine recipes for artisan breads and specialty items
Collaborate with culinary leadership to innovate menu offerings
Standardize recipes and production methods for consistency and cost control
Uphold high standards for product quality freshness and presentation
Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions
Conduct product evaluations and staff tastings
Recruit train mentor schedule and supervise bakery team
Foster a positive collaborative and professional environment
Promote accountability teamwork and continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with company policies health regulations and food safety standards
Maintain clean organized and sanitary bakery areas
Oversee proper food handling storage labeling and rotation
Ensure safety and maintenance of bakery equipment
Perform other duties as assigned
