Job Description

The Hawker position is a dynamic role within the food and beverage service industry, specifically tailored for fast-paced stadium environments where mobility and exceptional customer interaction are key. This role is offered by a leading stadium food and beverage service provider, known for delivering high-quality service to diverse audiences attending various events ranging from sports games to concerts. The Hawker is primarily responsible for the safe and efficient mobile service of food and beverages directly to fans throughout the stadium. The position requires employees to greet guests courteously, serve alcoholic beverages responsibly while ensuring adherence to local and federal alcohol regulations, and maintain an intimate knowledge of menu offerings and pricing to effectively communicate with patrons. Since service occurs throughout various stadium areas including main and upper concourses and plaza spots, adaptability and mobility are essential qualities.

The scope of the job includes maintaining clean and operational equipment such as bins, trays, and bags, and systematically tracking inventory while ensuring product security and organization at the shift’s end. Employees will operate under pre-shift guidance and report to supervisors at the conclusion of each shift, also recording any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards encountered. Job Duties

  • Greet fans in a courteous manner while providing friendly and efficient service
  • serve alcohol only in a safe and responsible manner adhering to state, federal and Stadium alcohol regulations
  • understand menu offerings, pricing, and be able to communicate this to guests
  • have a general knowledge of stadium and direct guests as needed
  • ensure Hawker bins, carrying trays and bags are clean and ready for use, adhere to health and safety standards
  • count and keep track of all inventory and help properly secure and organize product at end of shift
  • follow the event pre-shift notes and provide service as described, check out with supervisor at the end of the shift
  • always appear in proper uniform when on the floor or at assigned area
  • record any equipment failures and/or safety hazards to supervisor
  • special projects and assignments assigned
