The Hardywood Provisions line cook position at Hardywood West Creek is an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals eager to work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. This role is vital in supporting Hardywood's commitment to delivering an exceptional food experience alongside its celebrated beverage offerings. Reporting directly to the Kitchen Manager, the line cook will handle the preparation of a curated menu featuring burgers, sandwiches, fried foods, and shareable plates, as well as catering options for private and special events. The position can be full-time or part-time, offering flexibility with 10-40 hours per week and compensation starting at $20 per hour, with opportunities for performance-based raises and career growth. Responsibilities extend beyond cooking to include maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, operating professional-grade equipment, assisting with inventory management, and participating in pop-up kitchen events at Hardywood's Richmond and West Creek breweries during warmer seasons. Job Requirements
- Strong oral communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Previous restaurant, food truck, catering, or bakery experience is a plus
- Reliable transportation required
- Physical ability to remain on feet and lift 50+ pounds during shifts up to 12 hours
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, high volume establishment while retaining attention to detail and safety
- ServSafe certification a plus
- Must be available to work at least one day per weekend (Saturday and/or Sunday)

Job Duties
- Achieve the objectives of Hardywood's hospitality program to delight customers with exceptional food, beverage, and service experience
- Consistently maintain high quality products through proper technique and recipe adherence
- Operate and maintain professional grade equipment in a food truck environment focusing on cleanliness, organization, customer satisfaction, and presentation
- Prepare and cook a menu featuring locally sourced ingredients including burgers, sandwiches, fried foods, shareables, and catering options
- Host occasional pop-up kitchen events in outdoor beer gardens at Hardywood's Richmond or West Creek breweries in spring, summer, and fall
- Help maintain proper inventory levels of food ingredients and kitchen supplies
- Provide guidance, training, and oversight to other kitchen team members
- Report to the Kitchen Manager and assist with additional tasks throughout the brewery as needed
- Operate the POS system and assist customers in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following food safety guidelines and state regulations
- Adhere to opening and closing procedures, safety guidelines, and cleanliness standards
- Keep the food truck and all storage areas clean, organized, and safe
