This job opportunity is for an experienced Engineer specializing in automated testing and quality assurance, focusing primarily on API testing and development related to Apple Pay features. The role is located in Cupertino, CA, or Austin, TX, offering a competitive salary range from $80,000 to $135,000 per annum. This position falls under the technology job function within Apple, and requires strong hands-on experience and proficiency in Java/Kotlin programming along with deep understanding of REST APIs and automation frameworks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, defining, and executing automated tests to verify APIs built by third-party partners ensuring their compliance with Apple Pay’s functional requirements. The engineer will design and maintain automated server test cases, comprehensively report test outcomes, and contribute to the development of internal testing tools to enhance overall test coverage and reliability. Strong analytical skills will be utilized to dive deep into complex technical issues, triage automation failures, and implement robust, scalable solutions. Effective communication and organizational abilities are crucial for prioritizing tasks, scheduling, and updating stakeholders on the status of testing activities. This role demands a high degree of collaboration, problem-solving expertise, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement in quality assurance practices.

Ideal candidates will have at least five years of industrial experience and a relevant degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
