The open position is for a Host at Happy Camper in Wrigleyville, Chicago. This role is pivotal as the first point of contact for guests, responsible for creating exceptional experiences through friendly and responsive service. The Host manages guest seating efficiently using systems like OpenTable, maintains waiting lists, addresses guest inquiries, and supports the restaurant’s lively, welcoming atmosphere. Physical stamina is vital, as the position requires standing and walking for extended periods during busy shifts. The Host must possess a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle a busy environment with grace. Additionally, some additional functions include filling in various roles as needed, maintaining cleanliness and order around the host stand, and complying with health and safety standards. This role also requires a good running knowledge of the menu to assist guests effectively.
