This job opportunity is for a non-driving package handler position at FedEx, offering part-time employment with a competitive pay rate starting at 18.08 dollars per hour plus a 5-dollar pay premium. The role involves supporting the timely and safe movement of packages, documents, and dangerous goods in a warehouse or distribution center setting. This position requires an individual who can handle physical work, including lifting packages weighing up to 50 pounds and maneuvering heavier loads with equipment or assistance.

The role is essential in ensuring that packages are scanned, loaded, and moved efficiently within the facility to facilitate smooth delivery operations. Employees in this position do not drive on public roadways but contribute significantly to the logistics process through effective scanning and loading methods. The position demands stamina, as it requires walking, standing, bending, and squatting for extended periods. Furthermore, the candidate must be able to work in various weather conditions and navigate stairs, ladders, and confined spaces when necessary.

Shift schedules are available for this position, including Tuesday through Saturday from 2:00 AM to 8:30 AM and 4:45 PM to 11:45 PM, as well as Sunday through Thursday from 4:45 PM to 11:45 PM. Given the safety-sensitive nature of this role, candidates must maintain constant alertness and adhere strictly to safety protocols. The company also requires applicants to pass a drug screening and criminal background check as part of the hiring process.
