The Field Merchandiser role at Hallmark is a dynamic part-time position that offers individuals the chance to represent the iconic brand directly within various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. Merchandisers operate using mobile technology provided by Hallmark, allowing seamless communication, reporting, and task management. Being the public face of Hallmark in assigned stores, these professionals build and maintain strong relationships with store employees and management, enhancing the overall customer experience. The work requires physical stamina to carry and move merchandise up to 50 pounds, as well as agility to navigate retail floor environments including back rooms and stairways.
Prospective Field Merchandisers should expect a flexible part-time schedule averaging 10 to 12 hours per week, with the necessity of availability before and after major holidays which may include weekends. Hallmark supports its teams with paid training combining live instruction and virtual learning, ensuring all merchandisers are well-prepared to meet company standards and customer expectations. Job Requirements
- able to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally
- access to Wi-Fi and internet
- access to reliable transportation to travel to assigned stores
- ability to stand, walk, kneel, squat, and climb stairs and ladders
- availability during the week before and after major holidays including weekends
- flexibility to work varying part-time hours averaging 10-12 hours per week
Job Qualifications
- at least 18 years of age
- ability to read, write, and understand English
- experience with retail or merchandising preferred
- strong organizational and time management skills
- ability to operate digital handheld devices
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products using a mobile device
- establish and maintain professional relationships with store employees, management, and customers
- support seasonal reset activities, installations, and product relocations
- work extended hours during major holidays including potential holiday weekend shifts
