The Server role at Flanigan's is designed for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and enjoy providing excellent customer service in a lively restaurant setting. Servers at Flanigan's are responsible for maintaining table appearance, accurately entering orders, delivering food and drinks promptly, and ensuring seamless communication between guests and the kitchen or bar. This role requires employees to be knowledgeable about the food and beverage menus, current promotions, and specials, enabling them to assist guests with any questions or recommendations effectively.
In addition to serving guests at their tables, this position includes responsibilities for curbside pickup service, verifying ToGo orders, processing payments correctly using the POS system, and performing opening and closing duties. Job Requirements
- Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
- can reach, bend, stoop frequently
- able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
- ability to work flexible hours

Job Qualifications
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
- complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan's and Florida statutes
- complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan's and Florida statutes
Job Duties
- Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
- support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
- be knowledgeable regarding food and beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests' questions verbally and clearly
- accurately enter orders into POS system
- retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
- collect guests' payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
- perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
- pack and verify all ToGo orders with guest
- greet guests at the curbside pickup area
