Job Description
Great Clips is a locally owned salon that is part of the world’s largest salon brand, recognized globally for its commitment to providing quality haircuts and exceptional customer service. Joining Great Clips means becoming part of a community that values collaboration, passion for hair, and personal growth. The company prides itself on creating a welcoming environment where stylists can focus on their craft without the pressure of sales pitches, thanks to a guaranteed clientele system. This established brand emphasizes a supportive and flexible work culture, offering stylists a consistent flow of customers, guaranteed hourly wages plus tips, and bonuses designed to reward productivity and skill. With a strong presence in multiple locations, Great Clips provides not only excellent opportunities for stylists to enhance their skills but also a chance to make a meaningful impact in their communities through their professional work.
The hairstylist/barber role at Great Clips involves working typically eight-hour shifts with at least two evening shifts per week, requiring availability for one Sunday a month. Employees receive one weekend off every four to six weeks, allowing for a balanced schedule. This role suits motivated and passionate individuals who thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to grow within a dynamic team. Great Clips offers its stylists a competitive base wage complemented by productivity bonuses, additional pay for night and weekend shifts, high tip volume, product bonuses, and an annual raise. The salon provides a full benefits package that includes paid time off and holiday pay, reflecting the value placed on employee well-being and work-life balance. New team members don’t need to bring an existing clientele as the company ensures a steady stream of customers, helping stylists build their reputation and clientele over time. Employees also have the chance to advance their careers through award-winning technical training, ongoing education, and various career paths such as becoming a salon manager, trainer, or part of the artistic design team. Great Clips fosters a supportive and positive salon atmosphere where stylists are recognized for their contributions and encouraged to reach their full potential.
