Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- elementary knowledge of essential culinary functions
- ability to work as a team member
- excellent communication skills
- ability to follow standardized recipes
- physical capability to lift and carry 50 pounds unassisted
- ability to tolerate hot and cold temperature fluctuations
- ability to work long hours on feet
- schedule flexibility including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- excellent customer service, communication, and observation skills
- basic knowledge of preparation methods for vegetables, fruits, meats, poultry, game, reconstituted foods, stocks, soups and sauces, fish and shellfish, eggs and dairy products, farinaceous foods and cereals
- working knowledge of broil, roast, saute, fry, poach, steam, and baking techniques
- ability to sort, write and count in English
Job Duties
- follow sanitation safety procedures and daily sanitation guidelines
- utilize proper hand washing techniques
- maintain clean and presentable uniform
- utilize sanitizer at work station and document wash, rinse, sanitize
- maintain temperature log including cook to and hold times for hot and cold items
- work as a team member
- communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors
- follow standardized recipes
- identify food products
- perform knife cuts
- apply preparation methods
- handle line positions
- present plated dishes
- ensure sanitation and personal hygiene
- monitor food quality
- control waste
- utilize kitchen equipment and utensils properly
- follow food rotation procedures

- perform other job related duties as assigned
