In this exciting role, the Guest Transportation Attendant is the welcoming face for guests arriving at the venue. Attendants are responsible for greeting guests promptly and courteously while upholding the highest level of customer service. A critical aspect of the job is the safe and efficient delivery and retrieval of guest vehicles, ensuring that the flow of guest vehicles in and out of the property is managed professionally and swiftly. Attendants meticulously inspect each vehicle for any pre-existing damages and document these on the guest transportation tickets before handing over the claim checks to the guests. Additionally, the role requires attentiveness to detail through overseeing the proper management of vehicle keys, monitoring radio traffic to respond promptly to requests, and maintaining a clean, clutter-free valet and parking lot area.

This role is demanding both physically and mentally, involving extended periods of standing, running at a steady pace for extended durations, and lifting up to 60 pounds, which requires strong physical stamina. Candidates must be prepared to work in an outdoor environment exposed to varying weather conditions and exhaust fumes. A valid driver's license is mandatory, and new hires must obtain a Class D chauffeur's license within two weeks of employment. Given that this position requires driving various types of vehicles, both automatic and manual transmissions, exceptional driving proficiency and a solid safety record are essential. The company holds strict insurance guidelines that employees must meet to remain compliant.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to drive both standard and automatic transmission vehicles safely and cautiously
  • Follow directions and have excellent customer service skills
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and must obtain a Class D-chauffeurs license within 14 days of employment
  • Must have a safe driving record and must be able to meet company insurance requirements
  • Outdoor environment
  • Exposed to extreme weather conditions as well as exhaust fumes
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays and varied hours
  • Lifting up to 60 lbs required
  • Must be able to constantly run at 3mph pace for an extended period of time not to an exceed one hour with a two minute period between runs
  • The candidate will be required to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must have the physical capacities to operate a shuttle vehicle as determined by the State of Iowa

Job Duties

  • Greeting and interacting with guests in a prompt, professional, and friendly manner while providing exemplary customer service
  • Delivering guest vehicles to the guest transportation lot and returning them upon request in a prompt efficient manner
  • Inspecting vehicles and marking the check off list on the back of the guest transportation tickets to observe and record prior damage before issuing the claim check to the guest
  • Overseeing proper placement of vehicle keys, monitoring radio traffic requests, and keeping parking lot and valet section free from clutter and debris
  • Performing other related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
