Benson's Hospitality Group is a renowned hotel company dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences across its portfolio of properties. With a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, Benson's Hospitality Group has established itself as a leader in the hospitality industry, focusing on a comprehensive approach that combines comfort, service excellence, and a welcoming atmosphere. The company values its employees as an integral part of its success, offering a competitive and comprehensive benefits package that underscores its commitment to workforce well-being. Full-time employees enjoy benefits such as vacation and holiday pay, free single coverage health insurance, company-paid life insurance, disability insurance, dental and vision insurance, and a 401K retirement plan, ensuring both financial security and peace of mind.
The role of Guest Service Supervisor at Benson's Hospitality Group hotels involves a critical leadership position within the front desk team, centered on enhancing the guest service experience. This role requires a dedicated professional capable of managing guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently using state-of-the-art hotel software management systems. Beyond the transactional interactions, the Guest Service Supervisor is responsible for maintaining guest accounts with up-to-date charges and fostering an environment characterized by courtesy, professionalism, and enthusiasm. This leadership position also involves empowering front desk staff to handle guest complaints with confidence and care, ensuring guest satisfaction remains a top priority.
Additionally, the Guest Service Supervisor plays an important role in operational management by conducting regular team meetings, maintaining training programs per brand standards, and ensuring that all front desk employees are kept up to date on necessary procedures. This position requires a person who can make reservations, upsell room types through creative techniques to maximize hotel revenue, and serve as an ambassador for the property by being thoroughly familiar with all facilities to provide clear directions and assistance to guests.
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the lobby, pantry, and front desk areas is also part of the role's responsibilities, ensuring that the guest environment remains inviting at all times. The Guest Service Supervisor acts as a liaison between front desk operations and accounting to uphold credit control and accuracy in financial procedures. Moreover, this role often serves as the Manager On Duty (MOD), handling management responsibilities during scheduled times or in the absence of general managers, overseeing operational continuity, and ensuring all MOD team members are trained and certified appropriately.
The position demands excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, good personal presentation, and a solid background in customer service. Candidates should be able to multi-task effectively under pressure, possess excellent verbal communication and telephone skills, and have basic computer literacy including keyboarding. Physical requirements include the ability to stand and walk for extended periods and to lift or carry weights up to 30-40 pounds. The environment is climate controlled, facilitating optimal working conditions.
In summary, the Guest Service Supervisor at Benson's Hospitality Group is not only integral to delivering memorable hospitality experiences but also a pivotal figure in maintaining operational excellence and team leadership. This role offers a rewarding opportunity for hospitality professionals eager to grow their careers in a supportive, inclusive, and dynamic hotel environment committed to diversity and equal opportunity employment.
